Email ("Jan" account) and Northern Arizona University domain account

To take full advantage of the computing environment at Northern Arizona University, you will need to obtain an e-mail account and an Northern Arizona University domain account. New Northern Arizona University faculty or staff may call the ITS Solution Center at 928/523-1511, or statewide toll free at 888/520-7215, to request their accounts. We will verify your status with Northern Arizona University and your identity, generate your email and Northern Arizona University domain accounts and give you your user id and password. Please note that new employees must be listed in the Northern Arizona University directory system (LDAP) as a result of hiring paperwork processing prior to being able to obtain accounts.

What will a Jan and a Northern Arizona University domain account do for you?

Your Jan account will allow you to send and receive e-mail and will also give you secure space on the Jan server to store data and web pages on a unix platform. You may also request web space on one of our IIS (Windows) servers which enables you to fully utilize Microsoft Front Page for web site development. Your domain account will allow you to access computers and printers on the Northern Arizona University campus that are participating in file and printer sharing. It will also allow ITS personnel to remote control your computer (only with your permission) if you need assistance.
