Information Technology Services for
NAU Retirees
The President has approved a plan to extend certain
IT services at no charge to approved
Northern Arizona University retirees.
Eligibility for Northern Arizona University retiree affiliate accounts
will be determined by Human Resources based on the following profile
(
from NAU and
ABOR
policy - see HR
Personnel Policy Manual, Policy 3.02):
- NAU
retirees who have served full-time for 5 continuous years,
- And are at least 50 years of age,
- And are receiving a retirement annuity under an
Arizona university-sponsored retirement program,
- And whose employment was not terminated for cause by the university.
Individuals on long term medical disability status from Northern Arizona University,
regardless of age, are also eligible.
Previously retired NAU faculty and staff who qualify for
IT services
based on the above profile may contact the Solution Center at
928/523-1511 or 888/520-7215 to have their accounts enabled.
(HR has provided a
list of previous retirees to the
ITS Solution Center.)
The following
IT
services will be available to eligible retirees:
- Email account with up to 1 GB
of email server space
- Dial-up access through Northern Arizona University modem pools
- Limited phone support for Northern Arizona University dial-up access
and email issues only via the
ITS Solution Center
at 928/523-1511 or 888/520-7215 (except during the week before and
the week after the start of the fall and spring semesters
when no retiree calls will be taken).
In order to maintain Northern Arizona University dial-up and
email privileges retirees must adhere to the
Network Acceptable Use Policy as well as the
Email Usage Policy.
