Changing Passwords on Individual Systems
**This is for accounts that are NOT synchronized.
To change your passwords on any of the following systems you MUST know
your current password on that system. If you do not know your current
password you must call the
ITS Solution Center 928/523-1511 for assistance during
normal university business hours.
One possible option if you know your
LDAP
password and you need to have a password reset on one of the other systems is to logon to the
Campus Directory
(LDAP),
access your record, and change the password synchronization indicator
to "Y" (yes). Then follow the instructions below for changing your
LDAP
password. Wait a few minutes to allow time for password synchronization to
take place then logon to the account that you originally wanted to access with
the new password you just reset.
JAN:
You must know your current Jan password.
Telnet on to JAN.
From the menu select "P" (change password).
Enter your current password, then select the enter key.
Type in your new password, then select then enter key.
Type in your new password one more time to confirm, then select the enter key.
Remember, when your accounts are not synchronized this will only change your JAN password.
Example:

You can also change your JAN password within your email client, such as Eudora.
DOMAIN:
You must know your current Domain password. Logon to your Northern Arizona University system.
Select Ctrl, Alt, and
Del then select "Change Password".
Enter your current password and then your new password twice. Remember,
when your accounts are not synchronized this will only change your Domain
password.
LDAP
(Campus Directory, WebCT, Peoplesoft,
MyNAU,
Oracle Calendar):
You must know your current
LDAP password. Logon to the
Campus Directory
(LDAP),
click on the link to change your password. Follow the instructions
and links to change your password. Remember, when your accounts are not
synchronized this will only change your
LDAP password.
ADVANTAGE: To have your password changed on Advantage, you must
contact the ITS Solution Center 523-1511.
